Crime drama review - midsummer murders

Midsummer murders is set in the small village of Midsummer, which is nothing like it seems. Behind all the picturesque cottages and well trimmed hedges, there are dark secrets, scandals and downright evil. In midsummer murders they solve the crimes by talking to witnesses and all the people in the villages who knew te victim, they interrogate the suspects, they occasionally use forensics and they think about who would have any motives to do the murders.
The main character DI Barnaby is very much the good guy sort of cop, he is very relaxed and subtle. He thinks things through thoroughly and lets his partner do all the dirty work like the chases and violence.

Whitechaple

White chapel is about the reoccurrence of past time killings that are now taking place today in the town of white chapel.this episode they are looking at the murders of teenagers, they think that the suspect is 'mad mantis'.
He goes out to kill the people that were in his class at school.
White chapel uses very different story lines. Which no other crime dramas use. I think that is why it is so popular. Unlike most british crime dramas you actually see some of the murders take place before the main characters no about them.

This program uses many of the typical conventions:
Flashbacks
Montages
Professions
Setting -london
Style - Gritty and quite grewsome
